Medical Sales
A medical sales representative is a critical component of any pharmaceutical or medical device company. He or she is responsible for making connections between the company and medical professionals at hospitals, clinics, and private practices. A successful medical sales representative will be able to develop business relationships with healthcare providers in order to sell a variety of products. A person desiring this position should have excellent communication skills, self-motivation, a positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Sell medical products like pharmaceuticals or medical devices
- Meet sales targets set by company
- Follow up with customers to make sure they are satisfied with products
- Market products
- Maintain frequent contact with customers through emails, phone calls, text messages
- Compile feedback on products
- Keep sales and distribution records
- Stay on top of new developments in the field
- Research new leads/network with potential clients
- Hold information seminars on products
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S. preferred)
- CSP or NAMSR certifications preferred
- Experience in sales, marketing, customer service
- Driver’s license and vehicle
- Strong communication and persuasion skills
