Financial Analyst I, II, III

The financial analyst’s primary role for the company is to compile data, organize it, assess it, and communicate the financial status of the company using analytical models. They are necessary for measuring the company’s actual financial standing against predetermined financial goals, identifying areas for improvement, predicting the financial impact of the company’s actions, and creating plans based on data.

The status of the financial analyst will depend on education, former experience, and skills acquired. Entry level applicants with under two years of experience will receive the designation of Financial Analyst I, and they will work directly with senior-level analysts to assist them in their projects and acquire experience. Intermediate financial analysts (II) require about five years of analytic experience and will be given more complex tasks with less supervision. Financial Analyst III’s will have at least eight years of experience and will be capable of designing projects, leading analytic teams, giving upper level executives advice based on financial data, and thinking about big-picture company goals.
