For unemployment claims you should contact your local unemployment office via the Internet.

Once you file your claim the unemployment office will provide you with a case number and begin reviewing your case. Once the case is reviewed, the unemployment office either makes a determination or reaches out to the previous employers for additional information. If they need additional information, we will receive a request and provide the information for a determination.

All claimants receive their determination either via mail and/or email from the unemployment office. Unfortunately, we do not know how long this process takes as it could differ from state to state and depends on the number of people filing.

Anyone who disagrees with the determination that was made by the unemployment office, must file an appeal with the unemployment office. This could be done via the web or by the determination letter that was sent to you.
